Especially when they start suddenly or increase quickly.
This can be associated with a retinal problem and needs prompt assessment.
Especially with blurred vision, headache, nausea, vomiting or light sensitivity.
Especially when accompanied by neurological symptoms such as weakness or difficulty speaking or walking.
Immediately rinse a chemical exposure with lukewarm running water for at least 10 minutes and seek urgent advice for hazardous substances or ongoing symptoms.
If you have one of these sudden or severe symptoms, do not use the Vision Check first. Contact your GP or out-of-hours GP service immediately.
