EYEDIAGNOS VISION CHECK
A calibrated screening for visual acuity plus simple at-home checks. It is not a diagnosis and does not measure your glasses prescription.
Place the short edge of a standard bank or credit card (53.98 mm) against the screen and adjust the blue bar until its length matches exactly.
Sit exactly 3 metres from the screen. Wear your usual distance glasses or contact lenses if you normally use them. Cover one eye without pressing on it.
Which way does the E point?
Hold the screen about 40 cm from your eyes and wear your usual reading glasses if needed. Choose the smallest line you can read comfortably.
What is the smallest line you can read comfortably?
View the pattern with one eye at a time. Do some lines look clearly darker or sharper than others?
Look at the central dot from about 30โ38 cm away, wearing your reading glasses if you use them. Test each eye separately.
Do any lines look wavy, blurred, dark or missing?
For sudden vision loss, many new floaters/flashes, a curtain or shadow, or severe eye pain, seek appropriate urgent eye care immediately.
๐ Results stay only in browser memory for this session and are not sent to EyeDiagnos.
Visual acuity testing depends on calibrated optotype size, viewing distance, correction status, lighting and monocular testing. Online screening cannot replace refraction or a comprehensive examination.
